Jayendra Weerawardana

As the founder and the Managing Director of Insightpower Jayendra is responsible for the strategic direction of the business. Joined the Energy Industry as an Electrical Engineer he has broad experience over twenty years in the Energy Industry including the competitive energy market in Australia. His Energy Market experience goes beyond NEM to pre-NEM and VicPool.

He worked as a Power Station Manager prior to joining the Market Development team at Victorian Power Exchange in 1995. Jayendra had significant contributions to delivery of Energy dispatch system interfaces, Market participant Billing and Energy settlements system, National metering database systems and pre-NEM Market Data delivery infoserver system during the period of deregulation of energy industry in Australia.

Since joining Yallourn Energy in 1997 as an Strategic Analyst he architect the NEM information systems, Competitive Market analysis systems, business intelligence tools, NEM information portals for Yallourn's Sales & Marketing division. His contribution towards the development of Energy Contract Management System, Retail Metering Database were also valuable for Auspower, Yallourn's Retail business.

He was an active member of NEMGen user groups with contribution for the establishment of previous NEM Data Delivery - Infoserver. With broad experience in the Energy Industry and technical expertise his service was tremendously valuable to his previous career organizations and currently to INSIGHTPOWER.

At INSIGHTPOWER Jayendra leads INSIGHTPOWER's initiative in NEM solution development and services.

Jayendra received B.Eng(Hons) Electrical , Grad. Dip(Comp. Sc.) Swinburne University and Master of Engineering (IT) from RMIT Melbourne.

 

Atal Sarker

Atal has been in the IT industry over 20 years with solid software solution architect/development background across Manufacturing, Information Services, Education and IT consultancy sectors.

Atal posesses considerable industry experience in architect technology solutions for several multinational organizations. He also has rich experience in conceptualizing and developing solutions using database technologies & application development on different platforms using .NET technologies, ASP, VB, Delphi, SQL, XML, 4GLs, C, C++ etc. His excellent experience and knowledge of  Web, XML, Java, C# and several database technologies has made him an end-to-end web based solution architect/developer.

He has pioneered all aspects of software testing, such as application performance, integration, functional, system and nonfunctional testing. His proficiency in developing test strategies, detailed test plans, test coverage matrix (TCMs), test readiness reviews, development of test cases, test case execution and management of defect resolution complements the QA process at INSIGHTPOWER.

At INSIGHTPOWER Atal leads INSIGHTPOWER's initiative in solution architect/development.

He received Master of Engineering (IT) from RMIT, Melbourne and Master in Computer Engineering from L'vov Polytechnic Institute, Ukraine. He also holds Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).

Palitha Parakrama

Palitha comes from strong system architect and database management background. Joined the Energy Industry as an Electrical Engineer he has over 18 year of experience in IT industry and corporate sector in architect, designing, implementing and managing large computer infrastructure networks.

His broad experience covers both technology and project management skills on design and implementation of wide area data networks, server architecture, storage architecture data-center operations, disaster-recovery, capacity planning and system performance improvements.  His expertise also extends in designing and implementing networking infrastructure for distributed applications and database management systems including SQL and Oracle.

He has led numerous projects in design and implementing data communication infrastructure for global connectivity requirements using Frame Relay, ISDN, ATM, DSL, IP Networks and various VPN systems with extensively exposure on products and systems from HP-Compaq, IBM, Cisco, Nortel, RSA, Microsoft and Veritas.

At INSIGHTPOWER Palitha leads INSIGHTPOWER's initiative in system architect and infrastructure services.

Palitha received B.Eng(Hons) in Electrical Engineering and MBA (Tech.Mgmt) from Deakin University/APESMA.  He is a Member of Institution of Engineers, Australia (MIEAust) and a Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, (MIEEE).  He is also a Microsoft Certified Software Engineer (MCSE).
